Conferences
Across our network Student Hubs hosts a wide variety of conferences which empower students and others to be informed and inspired about social and environmental issues. These conferences, usually taking place in weekends during university term times, serve to bring together experts, practitioners and academics from across the world with hundreds of student delegates to discuss and debate issues as well as work towards practical solutions.

Student Hubs runs International Development Conferences (IDCs)across the Hub network designed to inform and inspire students who are looking to change the way we understand the world beyond our own shores. Workshops on climate change, global health, conflict and education in developing countries all form a key part of these events, as well inspiring speakers and networking with others in the field. The Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID) is an annual student conference exploring issues related to International Development. Each year, the conference attracts between 200 and 500 student delegates who interact with, learn from, and are inspired by world-class speakers from the academic, NGO and public sector worlds. The inaugural OxFID took place in 2008 and each year the conference has focussed on a particular topic, from Africa to conflict.
