Student Hubs was founded in Oxford in 2007 and now operates in seven UK universities. You can find out more about them here. 

You may be a student or staff member at a university not on the list, but Student Hubs still has much to offer.

National programmes

Whether you are involved with a 'Hub' university or not, Student Hubs hosts events and runs programmes which are open to all who are interested in social action and volunteering. Why not start by checking out our conferences, which run throughout the year.

New Hubs

Not satisfied with our national offering? Do you think your university is in need of a Hub?

As you can imagine, setting up a new Hub is quite a long process, although one that is fun and very rewarding as well. Student Hubs works to promote an entire cultural change at university, making engaging with social and environmental issues the norm, not the exception, and this can take a lot of work. Check out our theory of change to understand more about why we do what we do.

We have an established process for setting up new Hubs - this involves mapping out what the current provision is, bringing together students and other university partners to discuss the viability of a Hub at their university and researching the gaps in provision to understand what the Hub should be doing and where it could add most value. 

To take these preliminary steps, contact Sara Fernandez who will be be able to talk you through possibilities. From there, we can arrange a visit to one of our Hub offices, currently based in Bristol, Cambridge and Oxford.
