Bristol Hub
Why join the Bristol Hub Committee?
Being on the Bristol Hub committee will give you the chance to make a real, positive impact on the student population and the local community, and make lots of friends along the way! We work as a team to deliver a range of events and community projects that get students engaged with and tackling social and environmental issues.
As part our team, you would be part of the Student Hubs family, made up of communities of students at universities across the UK, with staff dedicated to support you to make social change. So whether you're really passionate about a certain topic, or just want to get stuck into making a difference and trying something new, there's a position for you. You'll be fully trained and supported in your role by our team of dedicated staff.
What will I gain?
Joining the Bristol Hub committee can help you develop in loads of different ways. Here are just a few of the skills and experiences you can gain:
  • Leadership
  • Teamwork
  • Building relationships with community partners and organisations
  • Project management
  • Volunteer management
  • Public speaking and communication
  • Training other students
  • Digital marketing skills
Alongside all of that, you'll have some great fun getting to work with a supportive, enthusiastic group of like-minded people!
What are the next steps?
  1. Have a look at our available positions on the More Info tab and decide which you would like to apply for.
  2. Complete our application form by the 20th April, telling us why you want to get involved, and what skills and experiences you can bring to the role.
  3. We'll be in touch by the end of the Easter vacation. If your written application* has been successful you'll be invited for a short interview. Interviews will take place after the Easter vacation.
  4. If you are successful you will receive an induction and training for your role before going away for the summer. Over the summer you will complete any project planning that you need to do before uni starts again in September.
  5. You'll start in your role as a fully fledged member of the Bristol Hub committee!
