Become a leader in social and environmental change at the University of Bristol. We have roles in Marketing, Events, or supporting our volunteering programmes. Applications will close May 14th.

Who are we?

Bristol Hub is a charity that works in partnership with the Univerisity of Bristol and the Student Union to support students to tackle social challenges, learn about issues and connect with each other. We do this by offering practical volunteering, skilled placements, one-off volunteering opportunities and project incubation support.

Bristol Hub believes that students have the power and potential to shape a better world, and being on our committees are a chance to be a student leader for the causes you care about. We are a student-led charity and our students guide what we do and take lead on the projects we run. We have a range of positions available in either our executive committee or one of our project committees. The committees are explained below.

The committees

  • The Executive Committee supports Bristol Hub's vision and mission to engage all students in social action. The activities of the Bristol Hub core committee are aimed at engaging students in social change, deepening the understanding of social issues and engaging with the local Bristol community. The committee also supports and leads on operational activities such as fundraising and marketing. You can find the roles were recruiting for by clicking here.

  • Our project committes have been created to reflect the volunteering opportunties we deliver. These are Schools+, LinkAges, Empower Active, Branch Up and Inspire, Debate Change. Each committee is structured a little different from the next, to ensure the committees meet the needs of the projects. Rather than supporting Bristol Hub as a whole, these committees are focused on the recruitment, training and delivery of the specific volunteering project. Roles vary, but some include comms, fundraising, volunteer management, session planning, logistical support and more.

Applications are now open and will be on a rolling basis until the end of May. Interviews for successful applicants will be held at a convenient time via video call. Posts for these last around one year, up until May 2022.

Don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have experience, we are keen to hear from self-starters and enthusiastic individuals. We are particulary interested in hearing from existing volunteers or students that have engaged with Bristol Hub before, but this is not essential.

Good luck applying - we look forward to welcoming you to our team!
