Current Opportunities

Operations and Activities Manager – £26,000 – £30,000 full time, fixed term

The Operations and Activities Manager supports delivery across our network of four Hubs, ensuring our programmes are delivered at a high quality and our staff team are well supported. They also lead two key operational areas: communications and marketing, and alumni engagement.

  • Location: Remote, with some travel to Hub cities and London as required (all expenses reimbursed)
  • Line Manager: Sophie Payne, Network Director
  • The Team: This role sits within the national team at Student Hubs. Your team members will include our Partnerships and Development Director, Fiona Wash and our CEO Simran Dhanjal-Field
  • Salary: £26,000-£30,000
  • Start date: 10 July 2023
  • Duration: One year fixed term until 31 July 2024 (with view to extend dependent on strategy development)
  • Contract type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Birmingham Projects Officer – £22,500 pro rata, full time fixed term

The Birmingham Projects Officer is responsible for key areas of the work of Student Hubs with University College Birmingham, supporting Birmingham students to increase their impact in the world around them.

  • Location: Birmingham, with some travel as required (all expenses reimbursed)
  • Line Manager: Fiona Walsh, Partnerships and Development Director
  • The Team: Birmingham Intern (for 6 weeks on 2 days a week)
  • Salary: £22,500 (pro rata fixed term for 14 weeks)
  • Start date: As soon as possible (applicants must be able to start by 5th June)
  • Duration: 14 weeks, with the role ending by 1st September (depending on start date)
  • Contract type: Full-time, fixed term for 14 weeks

Birmingham Intern – £11.95 per hour, part time fixed term

The Birmingham Intern will be supporting our Birmingham Projects Officer (see above) to deliver key areas of the work of Student Hubs with University College Birmingham, supporting Birmingham students to increase their impact in the world around them.

  • Location: Birmingham, with some travel as required (all expenses reimbursed)
  • Line Manager: Fiona Walsh, Partnerships and Development Director
  • The Team: Birmingham Projects Officer
  • Salary: £11.95 her hour
  • Start date: As soon as possible (applicants must be able to start by 5th June)
  • Duration: 6 weeks, with the role ending by 7th July (depending on start date)
  • Contract type: Part-time for 15 hours per week, fixed term for 6 weeks
