x 2017 Just Eat It!
‘Just Eat It’ is a group of volunteers whose aim is to challenge students' perception of food waste and cultivate a more sustainable attitude towards food and consumption. We do this through running pop-up surplus food cafes, cooking workshops, speaker events and campaigns. We have also been working with the University to advise on reducing food waste on campus.
Once or twice a term.

What's it all about?
'Just Eat It’ is a group of volunteers whose aim is to challenge students' perception of food waste and cultivate a more sustainable attitude towards food and consumption. We do this through running weekly reclaimed food cafes and other one-off events such as cooking workshops, speaker events and campaigns. We have also been working with the University to advise on reducing food waste on campus.
Cafes will usually take place at the Multifaith Chaplaincy on campus.
How can you get involved?
We need people to take on the following roles at our cafes:
  • Food Collector: We currently need food collectors with access to a bike! Collectors are responsible for picking up food from local shops and delivering to the Multifaith Chaplaincy. (weekly commitment, 9-10am on Fridays)
We're not currently taking applications for the following roles due to high demand, but if you really want to get involved please email justeatit@bristolhub.org:
  • Super Chefs: You will be cooking up reclaimed food into delicious, veggie meals (weekly commitment, 10:30am-2:30pm on Fridays)
  • Chefs: Like Super Chefs, but on a more casual basis. We need volunteer chefs who can come to sessions when they have the time. (flexible regularity: 10:30am-2:30pm, Fridays)
  • Servers: You will be serving up delicious meals to happy students! (flexible commitment, drop in from 12-2pm on Fridays)
Have any questions about the application process or need reasonable adjustments made? Please contact **access@bristolhub.org**. We are inclusive and encouraging of all University of Bristol students who want to volunteer, and welcome BME, LGBT+ and Disabled applicants.
