Bristol
All year round
We love hearing from what the community needs to create meaningful projects and events. If you have an idea, lets have a chat! In the past our student committee have worked with local organisations, to; run food waste cafes, put on tea parties for the elderly, clear up community spaces and more.
You might be interested in the benefit student volunteers can bring to your organisation or project through more regular volunteering. Our student volunteers work in schools, community centres, residential homes through our main projects.

The Social Innovation Programme combines research, consultation and critical thinking with practical training and support, in order to foster increased student awareness about social issues and establish innovative social initiatives.
Through the Social Innovation Programme teams of students are partnered with a local social impact organisation, such as a charity or social enterprise, to work on a brief set by the organisation. Students increase the capacity of organisations and bring fresh perspectives and expertise to a challenge they are currently facing, whilst developing key professional skills and learning about a social issue.
Climate Action Bristol combines research and consultancy to support local organisations to create, tailor and implement a Climate Action Plan. Students work in teams to support local businesses, using Netpositive Futures tool, to create and start implementing their sustainability goals. This supports local businesses to have additional capacity and new perspectives on challenges they might be facing, and better communicate what they are doing around Climate Change.

Each year we deliver a range of training for students and staff at universities. Institutions can explore creating a bespoke package with us to ensure they get the most out of the experience.
Additionally, we have delivered training to third party organisations, such as Student Minds or Give a Grad a Go, to help build on our mission of "active citizens for life".

We work in partnership with corprate organisations, grant holders and other community groups to create an impact with university students. This can be through programme sponsorship, mentoring opportunities, fundraising, pro-bono projects and other collaborative activities.
Our current partners include Burges Salmon, NETpositive Futures and Harold Stephens.
Programme sponsorship: Our range of volunteering programmes can be sponsored by corporate partners to connect you to students and socially impactful work in your community. Programmes can be sponsored in one Hub or across multiple locations: we are based in Bristol, Cambridge, Kingston in London and Southampton.
Gifts in-kind and community support: Your organisation can support us with gifts in-kind, working with us to identify our local and national needs and providing your support. This could include gifts for programme participants, venue space, or access to training for our team.
Fundraising: As a charity, fundraising for Student Hubs is vital for supporting our community work and vulnerable groups, developing students' skills and supporting us to grow. Support your team to fundraise for us or match fund our fundraising activities across the year.
Bespoke events and one-off activities: Your organisation can work with us to identify a one-off event or activity which engages our students, community partners or community participants, collaborating on our local and national impact.
